It Snowed!

My sister-in-law, Melissa, inspired me to try something new. After reading her blog I attempted to make my own snowflakes - and here they are. It took a few failed attempts, but I got it! Fun.

Fall Fun

We loaded everyone up in the car to head for some Indiana apple picking.
The wagon ride through the orchard was a crowd pleaser.
James and Sammy picked and sampled.

Danny and I escaped to Wisconsin for a few days to enjoy the fall scenery and the company of one another.

Danny is an amazing husband and father. I love him because he gets up every morning of the school year and makes lunches for the boys. I don't know why I hate making school lunches so much, but I do.

I love him because after I'm done nursing my babies I rarely ever get up with them in the night again. I love sleep, and Danny loves me.

Danny has a soft heart and takes the concerns of our children seriously. I have the tendency to brush their problems off at times, thinking that they are so small. Danny listens, empathizes, and encourage them to have faith.

I love that when I've had a particularly hard day, Danny offers to take care of dinner and bedtime so that I can relax.

Lastly, I love that he needs me. Even though he's a super dad and husband, he needs me. And he knows it. It's awesome.

Nauvoo

We had a rainy weekend in Nauvoo. I enjoyed the drizzle. If I had known beforehand the testimony I would feel there, I would have made the trip much sooner. It was a powerful experience.

So Much to Love

Another pinewood derby has come and gone. Isaac was once again victorious (Danny is fixing the little pin-on prize). When we began our family I had no idea that there would be so much scouting in my future. I love my boys. I love my man. So much to love about this picture... for me.
