Scary Spiderman

James had his face painted while we visited Utah a few weeks ago. My sister, Alison, and I thought that Spiderman was supposed to be a good guy - but after James had his face painted he felt entitled to run up to my sister and bite her on the arm while sporting this menacing face.

It was so fun to see you guys in Midway! I still laugh when I think about you washing the paint of their crying faces.

It _is_ interesting though, that the mask seems to have precipitated a violent attack. I remember when I was young, wearing a ski mask or monster makeup etc. would arouse feelings of predatory cunning, and lower my already lowish inhibitions. It's got to be related to the fantasy of becoming invisible; no one, at least no man but I'm guessing no woman either, granted that power, would not sooner or later but probably sooner become socio- if not psychopaths. The lesson here is that young males should be encouraged to wear masks and diabolical makeup way more often.
